What is ZotMail?

ZotMail is UCI's electronic communication system used to transmit authorized business messages to selected groups of employees and affiliates. This web-based messaging system enables specified staff in the offices of the Chancellor, Provost, Vice Chancellors, and Deans to send messages using a password-protected interface. The lists created for the ZotMail system may include all employees/affiliates or only groups of selected employees/affiliates. In addition, topical ZotMail lists exist for various campus interest groups. Employees/affiliates are able to use a web interface to update subscription choices.

All Employees are Added to the ZotMail System

New employees are added to the ZotMail system as soon as their records are activated in the payroll system and they have a valid email delivery point.

Emergency ZotMail System

As part of UCI's emergency communication plan, the Chancellor, Provost/EVC, and some others have the ability to send ZotMail messages to reach the entire UCI community including all unsubscribed users.
